Bath Salts

salt   1/2 cup of salt
bowl-of-baking-soda   1/2 cup baking soda
fragrance_2   food coloring and scented oil (optional)

Mix together 1/2 cup of salt, 1/2 cup epsom salts, and 1/2 cup baking soda. Mix well, adding food coloring and scented oil if desired.

Keep tightly closed. Add to bath water by tablespoons to desired strength. It makes a very soothing and relaxing bath, as well as being good for your skin.

Bath Oils

istockphoto_2657839_pure_vegetable_oil_with_flower   Simply add any vegetable oil (i.e., almond, olive or sunflower) to the bath water. Baby oil or mineral oil is not suitable as it cannot be absorbed by the skin and only remains on the skin surface. These basic oils can also be mixed with some of the herb oils or aromatic oil.

Bath Freshener

3 cups of boiling water
Apple-Slices-Red1   1/4 cup of dried apple slices
cinnamon2-sm  1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
cloves   1/2 teaspoon of whole cloves

Pour 3 cups of boiling water over 1/4 cup of dried apple slices. 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon of whole cloves. Steep for 30 minutes. Use in bath water for a very refreshing bath.
